About Rocky Hill, CT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Rocky Hill, Connecticut is a town located in Hartford County. Formerly a part of Wethersfield, the neighboring community to the north, Rocky Hill was incorporated independently in 1843. Today, it is a typical bedroom community, with many locals commuting into New Haven or Hartford for work. However, it is a great place to raise a family due to its strong school system, job availability, and convenient location between Boston and New York City. In fact, the town of about 20,000 residents was named as one of the best places to live in the country by Moneymagazine.

Historic Rocky Hill is full of plenty of interesting things to see and do. Dinosaur State Park is a popular attraction, as it is home to one of the North America’s largest dinosaur track sites. The Rocky Hill – Glastonbury Ferry is one of the oldest ferries in the state, and in addition to Rocky Hill Ferry Park, outdoor recreation is available at Mill Woods Park.

Part of a humid continental climate zone, residents need to be prepared for anything in terms of the weather. Summers are hot and muggy, with average daily highs well into the 80s. When conditions become too hot indoors, dangerous conditions could result, and residents may suffer from fatigue, irritability, and even serious medical conditions. The right central air conditioning systems help residents to stay comfortable indoors, improving overall comfort and living conditions.

While the spring and autumn months may be pleasant, temperatures will quickly cool off at the start of the winter season. Residents need to be prepared with the right natural gas or electric furnace. Average daily highs stay in the mid-30s during January, although lows fall considerably lower. With over 50 inches of snowfall each year, it is clear that the right climate controls are a necessity at home.
